Welcome to the Viceroys Triathlon Club (VTC) website and thank you for taking the time to check us out.  The Viceroys TC is based in and around the leafy Surrey suburbs and is a club that was founded in 2008 by a group of like minded individuals who wanted to form their own club.  For an emerging club, we are very proud that many of our members have represented a GB age group team at the previous World Championships in either Vancouver, Gold Coast, Budapest and more recently Beijing. Club members range from first time novices through to the seasoned pro with ages 8 to 60+ racing over every distance from sprint to Ironman.

Where did the names Viceroys come from?

Well, the definition of a Viceroy is a person who is appointed to rule, whether its a country or province.  Sounds great doesn’t it- but the real truth is the our founder, Gary Brine used to be a member of a scooter club in south London in his youth and they where called the Viceroys.

The ethos of the club is a simple one, to ‘just have fun and enjoy it!’.  We should never forget that we are doing this for either a physical challenge, simply have fun or the enjoyment of hanging out with friends and mates at races.  After all it’s not a full time job. The club works by getting like minded people together for a group ride on that cold winters morning, or head down to the local pool or lake for a structured swimming session in the early summer sun.
