As part of the club’s membership, the club looks to offer as many opportunities for its members to come together to train with like-minded people.

Our weekly training schedule varies according to the time of year, currently the club is into its Summer programme.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

NB: Coached Bike Skill Rides: designed to help improve novice cyclists knowledge of basic road safety, etiquette, riding in a group, gear management as well as developing individuals endurance levels whilst learning new routes which the club uses throughout the year. Riders are encouraged to respect the designated ride pace & not to high jack the ride as this will affect the pace of the ride for those who it is designed for.

NB: During the summer months: The open water swimming is at Shepperton Lake & utilises the club’s BTF Level 2 coach.

The first session lasts 30mins and  focuses on swim technique, open water skills & confidence; session 2 is a pure open water technique session (speed/endurance) the and third session pure speed – all free for all full VTC members. Members are in entitled to choose one session.

The Friday track session at Xcel Leisure Centre Sports Hub track, (Waterside Drive, Walton on Thames, KT12 2JQ)  which is free for all full VTC members. See VTC Triathlon for further details.

A valid full VTC membership card allows members to swim for free at Shepperton Lake every Saturday or ride the Chertsey TT on a Thursday for free.

Club Championship:

The Club Championships are designed to bring the club together and race the same event. Whether as an individual or as part of a team due to injury, the clubs sponsors provide all the goodies to ensure that everyone has a great time.

  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd female. 
  • 1st male & female vet (over 45)
  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd relay team – separate event
